Have you heard of SCVNGR???

So, apparently there is a new “Social Media” called SCVNGR which seems to be popping up everywhere now.  Below are two events that I’ve seen recently.

I first took notice when Sesame Place advertised that they are having a SCVNGR party on September 11th.

event that will invite participants to complete the Sesame Place Trek on SCVNGR for a chance to win four 2011 Season Passes.

What’s more, participants will receive the special group admission rate of $25 per person if they register by Friday, September 10 at 4 p.m.

This event could be a great opportunity for your family to explore the park by completing challenges that range from snap a photo of your favorite character to tricky trivia questions. The more challenges you complete, the more points you rack up and the better chance you have of winning the four 2011 Season Passes.

Now, I suspect that if you already have a season pass you will have access for FREE to be a part of this event too.  I have to call to find out more details.  I definitely want to go to this event.  My older son would probably like it because it is a challenge and there are prizes while my younger son will just be happy to be at Sesame Place!

But wait!  There is more!  I saw another advertisement for a SCVNGR hunt today.  This one looks like it is being hosted by Social Media Day Philadelphia and the event can be found HERE on facebook.

I don’t think know if this is a family themed event, but I am definitely going to check the Sesame Place SCVNGR game out, and I will keep you posted.
